Methodology and sources
Nutrition data last verified: October 30, 2026, source: Chipotle US Nutrition Facts (OCT-2024-US-CK).Official PDF on chipotle.com · How we calculate
Data sources
- Primary source: Chipotle US Nutrition Facts, document code OCT-2024-US-CK and OCT-2024-US-PPS. The file is published on chipotle.com and was last modified on March 5, 2025. The two codes are versions for restaurants serving Coca-Cola and Pepsi products; food values are identical.
- Secondary source: Chipotle's official nutrition calculator and the menu data behind it. We use these for menu rules and for items the PDF leaves out: quesadilla cheese, Chili Lime Chips, Pollo Asado, the 16 oz kid's soda and large salsa sides.
Where the two sources disagree, the PDF wins, and we list the differences below. Items taken from the calculator may not have every nutrient, and Chipotle's calculator does not list cholesterol at all, so those cells show "n/a".
How totals are calculated
A total is the sum of the published values for each selected ingredient, with these rules:
- Two proteins: half a portion of each, which is how Chipotle's calculator counts them. Choosing Double gives a full portion of each.
- Double: twice the official portion. With one protein, a Double chicken bowl counts 360 calories of chicken.
- Light and Extra: Chipotle does not publish these, so we use 0.5× and 1.5× of the official portion. Any total that includes them is labelled "estimate".
- Tacos: one taco holds a third of an entrée portion of each filling, as shown on Chipotle's calculator, plus one tortilla. Chipotle sells one or three tacos; the two-taco total is our own calculation.
- Quesadilla: the burrito-size tortilla plus three regular portions of cheese.
- Veggie and Cheese Only: no protein value, plus the included guacamole. You can remove the guacamole.
- Chips and dip combos: the chips and the dip added together, which matches Chipotle's listed figures. Chili Lime Chips combos are calorie-only because Chipotle lists no other values for them.
Rounding and missing values
Totals are rounded to whole numbers, except fat, which is rounded to the nearest half gram. Where the PDF prints "<1", the chart shows "<1" and totals count it as 0. "n/a" means no value is published. A "+" after a total means at least one item in the order has no published value for that nutrient, so the true figure is higher.
Known differences between sources
- Chipotle's calculator rounds fat to whole grams on its ingredient lists, so beans and corn salsa show 2g against 1.5g in the PDF. We use 1.5g.
- Three taco tortillas are 240 calories (flour) and 210 calories (corn) using the PDF's per-tortilla values. Chipotle's calculator shows 250 and 200. We use the PDF.
- A side of queso blanco has 7g carbs and 490mg sodium in the PDF, against 8g and 500mg on the calculator. We use the PDF.
- Kids portions of queso blanco are 60 calories in the PDF. Chipotle's menu data shows 120 when queso replaces the protein. We use the PDF.
- Large Chili Lime Chips show less fiber than the regular size in Chipotle's data, which looks like an error in the source. We publish it as listed.
- Print correction: Chipotle Iced Tea 22 fl oz: printed "10w", read as 10.
- Mello Yello lists more sugar than total carbohydrate in the PDF. We publish it as printed.
Update policy
This site is not synced with Chipotle in real time. We review the official PDF and calculator regularly and whenever Chipotle announces a menu change, then update the last-verified date shown on every calculator page. Limited-time items carry a badge and are removed when they leave the menu. If an official value is missing, we leave it blank instead of estimating.
Editorial policy
All text on this site is written for this site. Nutrition figures in tables and answers are generated directly from our data file, so a change in the data updates every page. We do not accept payment to change figures or recommendations. Ad slots may be added in the future, and advertisers will have no influence on the content.
Corrections
If you find an error, email corrections@chipotlenutrition.org with the page and the figure. We will check it against the official source and fix confirmed errors.
